Is there enough to sight see in Galway for a full day?

Or should I stay the night (late train arrival) and rent a car the next day and move on to other locations?Arriving in Galway Monday night, leaving Shannon Friday at 4pm.

You are driving?? Then stay well away the biggest car park in all of Ireland after the M50. Gridlock all day. Get the train instead.

In Galway city itself there is good nightlife. Around the area there is the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher as already mentioned plus Connemara.  If booking a B&B would suggest the Salthill area.

There is lots to see and do in Galway and the surrounding area. Take a trip to the Aran Islands - that alone will take all day.

There is enough for a whole week.  Cliffs of Moher is one whole day, then the Aran Island, all the oysters, taking a walk around the city.  Man.  There is more in Galway than Dublin. Just avoid staying at the Western B & B at 33 prospect Hill.  cars get stolen out of there car park.

A day wont be enough!!! Def stay at leat a night... you have to go to the Aran islands and the Cliffs of Moher
