  1. I am not sure, but public schools are suppose to provide this help for FREE, *IF* a child qualifies for this help.

It is called 'special education' in schools and is mandated by the IDEA law 'individuals with disabilities education act'

THe best site to learn all about special ed is www.wrightslaw.com

  3. in the US--a child is entitled to a Free and Appropriate Education from age 3 through high school graduation (up to age 21/22).

The district pays for special education services.

  4. I was in special education when I was in school. Puplic schools have them and I now I am in college studing theatre and early childhood development.

  5. For early years-under 5's you can get support through Social Care Services, Common Assessment Framework, LEA, INNEX funding etc. Also Portage (through Health Visitor usually)

Primary Schools: INNEX Funding, LEA and some charities can offer support (eg lend equipment , training etc), there's things like HomeStart for support within the home (getting child to school), Housing Association-ensuring child is located near school. etc
