Is there flooding in Alaska?

hi.

i heard that there was flooding in Alaska. I was wondering what part is experiencing flooding and how serious is it? I don't want to inadvertently fly to AK and find a flood when I get there:) Thanks.

There is some in the interior part of the state.  It looks like Fairbanks is the only major city affected...and Denali National Park.  Check the National Weather Service site for idea of where flood warnings are in effect (in red): http://pafg.arh.noaa.gov/

Flooding is occurring only near some streams and rivers, it probably won't impact your travels too much.  Here are a couple news articles with more details:
