  1. there's european football aka soccer

and there is no american football because it is not and will probably never be very popular in other countries

the only other country that is even close to approaching the passion that many people in the U.S. have for football is the UK

but most people don't even like it there

  2. NO BECAUSE "AMERICAN FOOTBALL" SUCKS

  3. the men's football has been the Olympic sport since 1908 while the women's football was only introduced to the Olympic Games in 1996.

  4. There is no American  Football but they have football or what we know as soccer.

  5. Nope because football is only famous here in the states!!  in my opinion soccer is much better its easier to understand

  6. It's European football, commonly called "soccer" or "wuss-ball" in the USA.

  7. You are talking about American football...the type of football that occurs on a gridiron field...not being in the olympics.

American football doesn't exist in the Olympics because it is way too specific as an American sport. And there is too much advantage for the Americans to win gold in that type of football because they know the game more than other countries.

European football....the type of football that is now classified to Americans as "soccer" with a soccer ball and such things as bicycle kicks, penalty shots, red cards, all that...does exist in the olympics because this type of soccer is played all over the world....and a lot of foreign countries play that type of soccer. remember the World Cup soccer matches?
