  1. You are more than welcome to visit one of our great Canadian doctors but you are going to have to pay for it.

Without a health card. you'll have to pay up front.

However, I am sure there are ways around this as your husband is Canadian.  Check out the Government of Canada website.

  2. You can use your Health Insurance you bought in the US at any hospital OOps didnt buy any?? Well it isnt up to the Canadian Government to pay for your visit, nor the tax payers. If you are concerned with your baby you can most certainly pay for a doctors visit.

  3. You'll have to pay for any health care here. For general support in your pegnancy, you can join New Life Prenatal: http://www.freewebs.com/newlifeprenatal/ or the Ella Centre: http://www.ellacentre.com/index.html

And if your baby happens to be born in Canada (!), see http://travel.state.gov/law/info/oversea...

  4. OHIP takes cover 3 months from your arriving in Ontario. But it also depends on your status then. Depending on what city you are in you can always walk in to any hospital and inquire if they have some exceptions for pregnancy.

There are also some voluntary organizations that help in such cases.

  5. I am not aware of any way you can get free medical care in Ontario until you are a permanent resident.

  6. For goodness sakes drive back to Buffalo it's only 1 1/2 hours away.
