Is there going to a Eldest movie?

I have read both books and seen the Eragon movie. Are they going to make Eldest or not? If they aren't making Eldest then why did they leave the end of Eragon open?

well, since eragon was such a bust, it's doubtful. they were perhaps planning to make a sequel, but because of negative reviews dropped the idea.

the movie adaptation of eragon was a disgrace to cinema. it was even worse than the books, and that's kind of saying a lot.

My personal opinion is that there will not be a movie.  Eragon was a nice book for a quick, thoughtless read, but they made it into a terrible movie.  I worked at a movie theatre at the time, and almost NO ONE saw it, even on opening night.

According to the website listed below, a movie is possible, but still uncertain.  I suppose you'll just have to wait and find out!
