Is there going to be Assassin's Creed 2?

I have heard rumor that there will be an Assassin's Creed 2 but didn't really said when. Some people said "Oh I should has rather brought Assassin's Creed 2 than 1because it.... and people ever post a trailer on youtube about Assassin's Creed 2. I am just wondering is there really an Assassin's Creed 2 or not.

Assasins Creed is part of a Trilogy, if rumours n specualtion are correct it will be set in simialr times as Assasin Creed (1000ADish) but instead of desmond n Altair it will be Subject 16(so guy tested just before Desmond, who scrawled on the walls n floor) n with Animus going to japan or Maya/Inca/Aztec. Japan fits quite well as thier was a high prifile Assasination simialr time to Altairs time.

An Aztec Setting could lead to the hunt for the Crstal Skull (similar to the one in the new Indiana film) as an extra tool to use with the Piece of Eden in AC 1.

If you have ever beaten assasins creed 1 the ending of the game suggests that there will be an assassins creed 2 because it doesn't finish out the entire story. So i'm pretty sure that there will be one but i have no idea when.
