  1. there is...or was a series on Scifi that picked up where the movie left off or so it claimed. i didnt watch it looked took cheap and not very appealing for a tv series to me.

    However i heard there is a remake in the works or they are talking about doing a remake. Remember reading it once on scifi.com news.
