Is there going to be a new super mario 4 the wii?(soon)(like a year)

That would be awesome, but Nintendo hasn't said anything. However, if they do announce a Super Mario Bros 4, I imagine it would take more than a year to be released. Nintendo has a bad habit of setting release dates and pushing them back indefinitely.

No Nintendo always spends a good few years in developing there games so I wouldn't even expect to see a new Mario platform game next year either, however Wario Land has a wii game to be released in September.

Nintendo has stated that the Mario team is working on a new game, however they haven't revealed anything else about it.  It's possible for next year, but don't get your hope up.

Nothing's been confirmed but it wouldn't come out soon. I need a final side scroller Mario a big one for closure New Super Mario Bros. didn't quite do it. Wow 5 Top Contributors in a row!

That would be awesome, and seeing how some companies are following Capcom's MegaMan 9 stratagy, it wouldn't be insane.

However, nothing's been announced.

Im sure that if Nintendo were anywhere near preparing to release a new Mario, it would have been revealed at E3.

However, I believe it will be along eventually. Seeing how Mega Man 9 for Wiiware is going back to retro roots, Im sure Mario will soon follow (as long as MM9 is successful in sales).
