Is there going to be a sequel to "The Host"?

Question

Okay, I really liked the book "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer, so I was wondering if she was going to make any sequels to it, because I really would like there to be. It would be so cool.

Do any of you know?

Oh, and I liked it so much that I decided to do fanart of the cover of the book.

She said it all depends when and if the mood strikes her to write.

but supposedly there is a an outline written and there is even a tittle

it will be called The Soul

and they say there will be also a 3 called The Seeker

I read &quot;The Host&quot; and really liked it, too.  From its ending (the introduction of a new group of characters including another alien who had &quot;gone native&quot;), I would surmise that a sequel might be in the offing.  Additionally, I read a (rather glowing) review of the book in my local newspaper and derived from that critique the concept that Stephenie Meyer does indeed mean to write a sequel.  I certainly  hope so; I had begun to care about the original group, especially Wanda and Melanie, of course.  I think that the fact of Wanda&#039;s acquiring a host without memories also tends to indicate that there will be more to the story.

Stephenie Meyer does plan to release a sequel to The Host, and notes that it is &quot;almost done&quot;. She stated in an interview that the first sequel would be entitled The Soul and the second The Seeker.
