Is there going to be an earthquake on Wednesday?

My husband and neighbours say we are expecting a big earthquake on Wednesday along the Ionian line - they said it was on the news. I never have time to see the news and normally read online - but I haven't read anything. I know earthquakes are inevitable around this area but I really don't like the prediction!

Yes l have heard about it.

I don't believe such rumors about earthquakes. Even if l read them sometimes, l simply ignore them. These predictions are inaccurate and spread panic to the people.

that's not true . Scientists haven't even came up with the tecnology to accurately predict earthquakes. That's most likely not going to happen I would give it a 5 percent chance but you never know only god does

If I heard something like that on the news, I would be most certain that there will NOT be an earthquake on Wednesday. Lol.

However, you must always be prepared for a possible earthquake. Not stressed over it or anything, just prepared.

On Wednesday July 30th, there was an earthquake in Cephalonia, Greece (Ionian sea) measuring 5 on the Richter scale. That was hardly felt and there were neither casualties nor damage. There has been enormous progress in the past century as far as earthquakes are concerned.: Scientists have identified the forces that cause earthquakes, and developed technology that can tell us an earthquake's magnitude and origin. The next hurdle is to find a way of predicting earthquakes, so they don't catch people by surprise. However, to this day, no one can accurately predict an earthquake.

Predicting earthquakes so accurately, has not been discovered as yet.

For sure, even if there was one predicted, be sure they will not announce it for public safety reasons.

Radio "Arvila" is one of the usual creators of the most stupid rumours and hearsays.

Do not pay attention to the rumours and to be on top of things just be prepared and keep in mind the basic moves in a case of one.
