  1. Most GPS devices have an audible voice that can either guide you in turn by turn directions.  I would suggest looking into a Garmin Nuvi 200 unit.  They are affordable and reliable.

  2. Only recently have units come out that are voice-operated.  The Garmin Nuvi 880 is one of them.  They're pretty expensive.
