Is there gravity in a house on the moon?

Question

If I was in a structure on the moon like an underground house, would there be the same amount of gravity there like ther is on the moon?

I was wondering this because I was watching Austin Powers with my friend and Mike Myers was on the moon with Mike Dr. Evil and they were walkin normally unlike the way Neil Armstrong walked on the moon when he went.

P.s. Was the moon landing also staged? <(that was optional)

there wouldn&#039;t be a noticeable difference between gravity at the moons surface and slightly below it.

Though many people believe the landing was staged I don&#039;t based on actual research (which you should try instead of trusting people&#039;s answers on here).

Any structure on the moon would have the same gravity inside and out, it would just be less gravity than what we have on Earth. Don&#039;t take a film portrayal as reality. Movie directors and producers seldom strive for scientific accuracy in their work. They&#039;re just trying to entertain, not educate.

And no, the moon landingS were not staged. All six of them really happened.

I think you need to do a bit of work on the difference between fantasy and reality.

Austin Powers movies are pure fantasy, and should not be used as a source of scientific information. There is gravity on the Moon which is 1/6 as strong as the gravity on Earth, whether you&#039;re in a house or on the surface, just as the gravity is the same on Earth whether you&#039;re in a house or not. What this does show is that it&#039;s very hard to fake 1/6 gravity in a studio, which is one of the reasons why we know that the Moon landings were reality, not staged.

Austin Powers is a movie - none of it is real.  I&#039;ll bet that the producers either had no idea about the moon, didn&#039;t care about it if they did, didn&#039;t want to spend the money to make it look real, and probably didn&#039;t think the audience would know or care.

Any object on the moon will have gravity - it will simply be one sixth what it is on Earth.
