  1. Yeah, I was informed that my hospital does have wireless, but I'm not allowed to use my lap top near monitoring equipment in use.

Different hospitals, different policies I guess.

  2. The hospitals normally have wireless internet! Our hospital does!

  3. I doubt it -- it can interfere with a lot of electrical equipment. He's a big boy. If you're alseep, he can go home, watch TV and come back later.

  4. Most hospitals now have WiFi, especially in rooms where telemetry monitors are not in use (like ICU).  You'd have to ask them directly, though.

    Good luck with the induction!

  5. My hospital did!

  6. sweetheart!!- he should be bonding with YOU and focusing on you during this time!! Gee, maybe you should tell him to bring reading material or something. I can't imagine they'd allow internet in the labor room!

  7. Yeah, it's great. My wife and I were in the hospital for a couple days before they would let us go home so I had lots of time to put lots of pictures of our new son online.

  8. Wow, you're nice!! I was induced for my first and it goes pretty quickly. He might not have time to look at the internet because you will scream at him if he does!

  9. Uh... I say he had his fun approximately 9 months ago. Are you having any fun here? I'm betting not. The LEAST the guy could do is endure a little boredom. When we come up with a way to let the man share labor pains (which I've been told are more extreme when induced... not to scare you or anything), then he can have a laptop.

But, aside from that, I agree with the person saying it may interfere with other equipment. For the same reason you have to turn your cell phone off at the hospital, I would assume it would be the same with computers. But, I haven't visited any new mommies in the hospital for about 4 years now, so things may have improved.

  10. The hospital I work at has WiFi...we bring our laptops especially at night when we don't have much to do after we have made all of our rounds we sit on our computer...so I would imagine that most hospitals do have wireless...especially if they are keeping up with the times!!!!

  11. mine had wireless, most do
