Is there life beyond Earth? Whats your view?

Where would you look for life if you could decide? Below the icy depths of Eupopa? If you could would you dig below the surface of Mars to find the answer? Maybe there is a collinization near the core of Mars where its still warm. It could have been Earths big brother. Maybe were originally from mars, not as humans, but as bacteria from Mars.

If we ever found life out there, what do you think it would do to all religions? Do you think we would share our differences and technolagy? Or as we cant even get along with each other, do you think it would destroy us?

I would love to be alive to be there if there was ever life discovered beyond this planet.

Whats your view?

  1. I don't believe there's life beyond Earth... But I do believe there is life WAY beyond Earth. Imagine : To get to the nearest constellation visible to Earth, we need to travel a distance greater than 3000 lightyears (not precise). Although they could survive 10000 years and do that trip. And, have you ever thought about how difficult is to travel at the speed of light? As for that Mars theory... It's possible, as it is possible in Venus, to have living beings that survive to temperatures of 400ºC and can support the toxicity of the lava expelled by the volcanoes. Ever wondered how could bacterias travel a million miles through the void, with no air, only solar light. Or have they developed a way to have energy through the sun. Could we get along with them? Probably not... Some governor would claim them as their property, just like we do with wild animals in a zoo. If a human can kill a human just because he's slightly different imagine a human and an alien.

Big answer here is, we never know until we see. And my view... Well my view will be the one when they arrive, and me looking at them. This is my view. A view of a skeptical person.

User "Swash" mentioned Area 51. Who knows if the Area 51 wasn't only a myth? Who knows....

  2. I would say that life outside of Earth is possible.

  3. Hi Rick

I am confident that there is life that will be found elsewhere. I'm not sure about our solar system; if I had to guess on that subject I would pick the liquid seas of Europa, followed by the methane lakes of Titan.

I base my opinion on the complex organic molecules that have been found on other planets as well as on meteorites, combined with the truly immense scale of the known universe. Most stars appear to have planets , and many of those probably shelter life. Whether we will ever contact intelligent life is a completely different question - which you did not ask - but that's a much more remote possibility than the simple existence of life in some form.

I don't think the discovery of life would destroy us. I think religions would do what they have always done, i.e. act as if they knew it all along and keep on pretending to possess absolute knowledge.

I share your positive outlook, but I harbor a scientist's skepticism.

  4. I feel the universe is never ending and intelligent life from other planets have the technology to teleport to other planets.  We have yet to explore the ocean and I feel that's another way of entering our world from other planets.  We're not that advanced.  Good Luck!

  5. It is very possible that life exists outside of the earth, however it's unlikely that we'll find it in our solar system.  I believe that there probably is life on several planets scattered throughout our galaxy, and plenty of it existing throughout our universe.

  6. Uh... no.

Think interdimensional beings or "fallen ones":

  7. There has to be.

  8. There are three people, and countless microbes aboard the ISS right now, does that count?  Beyond them, I would want to look at other star systems.  Even if there is bacteria in our solar system, other than on Earth, I don't think it really matters, we can't form a relationship with bugs.  It would be a lot more exciting to look at our neighboring star systems to see what we could find there.

Hopefully within the next five years we'll start finding planets around them, and hopefully within the next fifteen years we'll start launching space craft towards them so that (hopefully) within the next sixty years we can find out if there's anything living out there.

    That's my view.

  9. has anyone hear of a little military base called Area 51

  10. I believe there is life out side our solar system and ut was also created by God , Some of these being would be friendly others would want to conquer us. I also believe we have been or are being visited already
