Is there like a 'print screen' on macs?

like on windows there is a key on the keyboard called print screen, is there something like that for macs? If so what is it?

  1. There are two different ways to take screenshots.

    1) Use an application called "Grab." It should be included in your /Applications/Utilities/ folder.

    2) Use keyboard shortcuts. To take a screenshot of the entire screen, press SHIFT + Command (Apple) + 3. To take a screenshot of a part of the screen, press SHIFT + Command (Apple) + 4 and select the portion of the screen you want to capture. To take a screenshot of a window, press SHIFT + Command (Apple) + 4, then press Space, then click the window you want to capture.


  2. There are few ways to do screen capture in Mac OS X.

    Follow the steps below and you will be able to do a screen capture in Mac OS X.

        * Switch to the screen that you wan to to do screen capture

        * Hold down Apple key ⌘ + Shift + 3 and release all

        * then use your mouse to click on the screen

        * Done. You will see a picture file in at your desktop. That’s the screen capture picture.

    You can also do a screen capture for a portion of your screen.
