Is there lots of mosquitoes at the Playa Dorada resort in the Dominican Republic?

Thanks for all the answers. We have mosquitoes here in Canada as well. Just wanted to know if there’s was lots so I could prepare.

Well, I Have Been To The Playa Dorada Resort And Would Advise To Take Insect Repellent Because Some Nights There Are Mosquitos Others There Are Not. If You Are Prone To Getting Bit (As I Am) It Wasnt The Worse Place I Have Been To Mosquito Wise. So All In All Not To Bad But Bring That Repellent For The Night Time.

There's mosquitoes everywhere, especially in an island, but don't let this ruin your vacation and do not miss the beauty of the beaches and sand because of freaking mosquitoes, just take some spray repellant (they sell them in Walmart or any outdore store, and are not too expensive)  and enjoy ur vacations till the very end!!! =)

Mosquitos are a 'given' anywhere in the Caribbean... if you don't want to be bothered by Mosquitos... the you could not be going to a worse place.

On the other hand, there is such a thing as Insect repellant.

This afternoon they counted them and arrived at a total 38 for the entire Playa Dorada complex (14 hotels). I hope this will not spoil your vacations (hihihihi)

I thought there would be lots when I went there too, so we packed insect repellant...I saw FAR more bees and wasps then mosquitos.

In fact we never even needed the repellant
