  1. If they were Handicaps of that grade i would say yes...As if theres a maximum there should be a minimum about 3Ib   id guess..Good Health..

  2. That's a bit like asking is there a bird in the sky.

All races have penalty values and basically it all depends on the value of that particular race. This is so that when a horse subsequently runs, if it is in a handicap race, depending on the Penalty value of the race it just won, would decide whether it carried 3-4-5-7-8 pounds extra to its allotted weight if the race is run within a few days and the handicapper has not had time to re assess the horses official rating. This is also used in condition races where terms of the race are say 4 year old horses carry xx weight and say 3 pounds extra for every race valued at xx between two dates or after a certain date.

Hope that explains what I think you are asking..!!!

  3. PV is sterling value, prob £5000 for class 4, £6000 for class 3

  4. no where did u hear tht

  5. It really depends on the type of race you want to run in.

For example, the 2 year old Novice Stakes at Beverley on 25th September awards a 7lb penalty for winners of a Class 4 race.

On the same card is a 3 year old+ Conditions Race that awards only 3lb for a Class 4 win.

Most penalties seem to vary between 3lb and 7lb.
