Is there more ease in obtaining Taiwanese work visa if I am married to Taiwanese?

I am currently married to a Taiwanese woman and I will return there in May. I was previously in Taiwan and it was quite easy get a visa extension. My wife believes that it will be quite easy when I am there to obtain a further visa extension because I am registered with the Taiwanese government under a proper chinese name and our marriage was verified there. Is this true? If so will it be easier to then obtain a work permit?
