Is there more to life than having or earning money? Hypothetical question, what do you think??

If you had to persuade people that there's more to life than having money how would you do it?

i think there whole thing is shuffled up, means become ends and end become means, we work therefore earn money, but what happens is that we want money so we work. I think we should work and try to work better, there may be a good doctor who is not so rich, still everytime he operates he succeeds, see, he is saving lives, without getting money, he is great, tell me what is money..the doctor would have refused to operate without a major fees, but then the work will be impure.

Purety towards humanity, towards your work, purity is more than earning money,when you die only purity will go with u, money will leave you.

Oh, good gracious, of course YES.

Money doesn't keep you warm at night, and money does you no good lying in a cold dark grave.

Money is NOTHING but small green pieces of paper. How do you "persuade people that there's more to life than having money?"

Are you serious? Tell them to look around you. At the trees and lakes and butterflies and goldfinches and early morning mist when you drive through the mountains. At the mew of kitties. At the frisky puppy alongside of you when you're hiking.

well there's a few points here that i would like to

make to that. * one is we are here to reproduce

like all species we are here to continue ours.

* Evolve, there are a lot of theories that we will evolve

to what ....everyone has a thought on that one !

* Find your partner in life, find your ideal match.

find your sole mate !

I think that there is more to life, I mean it is ironic that the things people want most, like love for example, you cannot buy. Money is pieces of paper, and round bits of metal. I would show people that just being in a moment, place, or being with someone really special can be more wonderfull than having a million pounds. :]

Not so hypothetical as what you think. Money can't buy a lot of things, like love, or beauty, or happiness, or friendship.  But with money you can be miserable in comfort.  And nowhere is it written that money is evil!

I would tell them that the only purpose money serves is to provide security against need.  Once your needs are met, the utility of money decreases.

Further, I submit that the more money a person has, the more they worry about losing it.  How can someone be happy if they are worried?

Well depends on how happy or satisfied he or she is with or without money and then the convincing goes which is directly proportional to his deeds.
