Basically what I need to know is generally, how long will it take to get into the city at that time, or should I just take a train to the PATH. I live about 20 minutes away from the tunnel and need to get right across the tunnel to Hudson and Houston.

  1. Take the train

It's cheaper, faster, and better for your nerves!

  2. Well traffic is just a part of it--construction blockages, accidents, unforseen police activities tie up all entrances to New York--all day and night--everyday. Then you need an hour to find parking. Take the Path

  3. Having lived in that area for many years, I would not drive to NYC when I can take the train or bus, parking can be a problem.

  4. You need a local advisor...someone who comutes daily and puts up with that hectic lifestyle..... personaly I would get there by quitting time...  good luck

  5. to be honest, 7 is around the start of traffic time, at times you'd get stuck, at times no, depends on your luck. i'd give myself another 15 min or so to travel, no need to stress you know? just leave at like 6:45am, but also remember it depends what route you indend on taking, if you take tonnelle ave and 1&9, well then a lot of times there's traffic in those areas since pulaski is right by it and tonnelle is used to get into jersey city, 1&9 also connects to the tpk. again, i suggest you give an extra 15 min or so, otherwise if you dont want to have to deal with the chance of traffic and getting stressed out take the train, but for the most part you should be fine, barring some pretty bad weather, or some accident or major construction of course.

  6. 7 A.M. is like the beginning of rush hour but it's 10 times better than traveling to NYC at like 8 AM.  It's not too bad.
