  1. I'm sorry to say there is racism everywhere. Even though it has decreased a lot since the civil war, there, is and always will be racism. It really doesn't matter where you are, racism is everywhere.

  2. theres racism everywhere

  3. At the moment it's not too bad however I have a horrible suspicion that when the economy really starts to drop it will become rampant.

  4. Where I live, a small town in Inishowen, it is hard to guage because almost everyone here is white Irish (there are, however, a couple of English people and a Latvian family) - and it seems everyone takes the p*ss out of the English families behind their back, but not in a particularly nasty way, but are really nice to their faces.

Personally, I think it is not only wrong but hypocrital. The Irish decendents make up a large percentage of the US population, virtually every large town or city in England has an Irish community, but some of us go apesh!t when a family from overseas wants to move here.

I would say that in the last 6 months, I have seen only two non-white faces (if you ignore the times I have gone to the Chinese takeaway) so I really can't give any more of an opinion than that.

  5. You will get the small few idiots that will throw the odd comment now and then but that happens everywhere, no matter where you are in the world but its just words and just let them flow in one ear and out the other!

  6. I grew up in ireland seeing only white irish faces but while watching barney and the simpsons etc i grew to understand that different nationalities and races were ok. there will be racist people everywhere but thats only because they are basically rared in an enviroment where racism is common.hope i helped :D
