  1. In May, its Spring, le printemps, so enjoy being out in the air.  See the Jardins: Tuileries, Luxemburg, Plants (and the zoo), Place des Vosges, and Pere-Lachaise Cemetary.  Enjoy the people and lovers.  Stroll and take it all in.

  2. Well, when I went to Paris, I looked at the Louvre, which was really interesting, and L'Arc de Triomphe was a good place to take pictures.  Something fun you could do also would be to take the Eurostar and see London as well.  It's not that expensive and you can end up seeing two cities instead of just the one.  Also you can see the Champs de Lysee.  That was interesting too.  Good shopping.

  3. You've got to be kidding.  There are so many "must see" things there that you'll probably not be able to see them all.

Without even doing any research, there is the Louvre (art museum) and the Champs Elysee (monument).  Then there's the palace at Versaille which is near there.

I might suggest going to a bookstore or library and pick up a travel guide soon, so you can make some sensible plans.  You might never get back there so don't waste the trip on things like Starbucks or the Gap.

  4. Yes, loads.  The Notre Dame for one.  The Sacrecure.  The Louvre.  The Pompidou Centre.  I really enjoyed the Picasso Museum.  Unlimited interesting and fun things to do in Paris.

  5. The louvre , Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysées, a boat trip on the Sienne ,Montmartre ,Place de la Concorde

    Have a great time

  6. The top three churches:  Notre Dame, Sainte Chappelle, and Sacre Coeur.

The museums:  the Louvre, the d'Orsay (my fave), Pompidou, Rodin, Picasso, and the list could go on for ever

The street markets:  Montorgueil, Mouffetard, Cler...

The gardens:  Luxembourg, Plantes, Palais Royal, Tuileries.

    'nuff said?

  7. Absolutely. I went to Europe in the summer of 06 and we only had two days in Paris and did so many things.

Notre-Dame is a must. Absolutely stunning. The Louvre is another must-see. We spent about 4-5 hours in the museum and saw an extremely small percentage of what's held there. Champs-Elysees, sort of just to say you've been on it. The Opera House was a fun way to spend a bit of time on a self-guided tour. The Tuileries were beautiful when I went.

Other than the obvious monuments, you need to just soak up the life. Stroll along the Seine and check out the vendors who sell all kinds of things along the banks. Get some local food and enjoy touring smaller areas. We found several churches that were quite small and whose names I can't remember, but the experience of going into these small, yet magnificent, churches was just amazing. Paris is a beautiful city with so many must-sees, you really can't list them all on Yahoo Answers. I didn't even see/do everything I wanted, so I'll need to plan another trip in the next few years.
