Question:

Is there no end to the ever increasing fuel prices?

Currently in the UK the average price for a litre of petrol is 115.8 pence and diesel is 129.3 pence. Last year this was 97.0 pence for petrol and 97.4 pence for diesel. However four years ago this was only 82.1 pence for petrol and 82.8 pence for diesel. If feels like fuel prices are going up every couple of days, is there no end to the ever increasing fuel prices?

Whats your opinion to the current fuel prices?

  1. No there is not.But I may be rong there could be.

  2. GAS WILL BE $10 A GALLON SOON!!!  THE BUILDERBERG GROUP HAS BEEN PUSHING FOR $200 A BARRELL FOR OIL SINCE 2005!!!

    LOOK HERE FOR PROOF!

  3. i think the fuel prices are stupid. i remember when it was creeping to 99p a litre and we were all moaning how exensive it was now it seems like bliss if it would drop that low again.

unfortunately, if the barrels of oil dont fall i predict that we will be paying well over £1.20p a litre!!

  4. There will be an end but they will continue to rise as long as we are dependent on foreign oil. We need to become self -sufficient in the USA. When the demand drops, so will the prices. It's all about greed and supply and demand. Even our government is stockpiling. Our oceans and the Alaskan pipeline are vast resources for oil if we build them and take care of them and the government will fork over the money. Bush doesn't care because his is on his way out. He has his own supply. Shame on you Mr. president for not sharing with the rest of us, especially the poor. If we all stopped driving our cars even for one day or longer, it would make a great impact. But most of us are too attached to our cars to do this or take public transportation which is larger and holds many people. Car pool too.

  5. With todays idiots, wasting most of it, making it become scarce, There isn't an end to these unheavenly prices!

  6. none

  7. I the last few weeks there has been some major issues with supply and the global economy. There is a Problem as there always will be in the middle east which has been going on since 1992 Iraq etc but in the last few weeks there has been attacks on Pipelines in Africa and unsteady trading in Asia markets, couple this with recession fears in Europe and the USA investors panic and stock markets cause damaging fluctuations on oil prices. Its not going to get better in the short term. In Australia it will get to $2 per Litre in the next few weeks compared to $1.50.

The UK will be the hardest hit as the tax % will always push it that much higher, UK Fuel Forecast is tipped to be 1.50 GBP even 1.70 GBP if the tax and duties etc etc on the fuel remains the same at a total of 75%

The only relief there will be is when and if things calm down would be about a 5% fall per litre per year providing the economy of a country falls and public spending reduces intrest rates.

The price in the UK is subject to 75% government taxes of many descriptions and other countries have different taxations which pushes the price up.

Here in Australia the price of petrol changes from day to day and sometimes hour by hour. There are companies in in oz and the rest of the world that are just being to greedy.

the petrol you use from the service station was probably bought 2 weeks ago when it was cheep but you pay the daily calculated cost of the oil.

  8. Noes....it'll keep going....unless there's a serious strike/blockage/whoaever against the government. Not just lorries blocking the petrol trucks (which is now illegal....pfft!), but more....probably people literally refusing to work so the government don't get their shinies so they're forced to reduce the tax on petrol.

But I stand by my answer....noes....won't ever stop increasing....we britts are far to lazy to do something about it.
