  1. A warrant for the arrest of someone becomes obsolete when the statue of limitations for the crime they committed which the warrants is made out for is reached, if their even is one. For some crimes, such as murder, there is no statue of limitations, so a warrant issued for the arrest of a person for that crime would always be good.


  2. No, there is no statute of limitations for a warrant.  The warrant stops the judicial clock from ticking.  Time stands still for the criminal case until the warrant is recalled and quashed.

    Statute of limitations do not apply to warrants, as the DA is trying to prosecute, but cannot locate the offender.
