  1. OK I will say yes just to please the Gods of Yahoo.

  2. There are millions of them now.

  3. Is there only one true and living God, Creator of heaven and earth; Yes. But if you are asking, Is there also other gods, the answer is also Yes. (II Corinthians.4:3,4); but there is also the god of the love of money, or the god of self, and so on.  People go about making things in this world, or even their own self the object of worship and security and sufficiency.  All of these are gods, when we put our trust in anything other than the true God, then they are our god; but the problem with them is, they are temporary; and the true God is eternal.

  4. Depends what you believe. I, as a Christian, believe in only one God; the true and only God.

Many other religious groups, have many other gods and even godesses.

  5. Not even.

  6. Depends on which religion you are referring to. I believe God is the all encompassing power of nature

  7. In a parallel universe, maybe...

  8. Probably many. Multiples are the rule.

  9. No. There is almost one god. Just off by one.

  10. Yes, my friend, there is only one God..................

  11. Yes and no.

There is only one true almighty God, the creator. In English the most popular form of his name is Jehovah. Although many who claim to worship him never use his name.

There are also many false gods and even Satan is called the god of this world.

The scriptures mention the god of Good Luck and they also mention that to some people their god is their belly.

In the sport of baseball Babe Ruth has been referred to as a god.

    Anything that is worshiped can be termed a god, inasmuch as the worshiper attributes to it might greater than his own and venerates it. A person can even let his belly be a god. (Ro 16:18; Php 3:18, 19) The Bible makes mention of many gods (Ps 86:8; 1Co 8:5, 6), but it shows that the gods of the nations are valueless gods.—Ps 96:5;

Hebrew Terms. Among the Hebrew words that are translated “God” is ’El, probably meaning “Mighty One; Strong One.” (Ge 14:18) It is used with reference to Jehovah, to other gods, and to men. It is also used extensively in the makeup of proper names, such as Elisha (meaning “God Is Salvation”) and Michael (“Who Is Like God?”). In some places ’El appears with the definite article (ha‧’El′, literally, “the God”) with reference to Jehovah, thereby distinguishing him from other gods.—Ge 46:3; 2Sa 22:31; see NW appendix, p. 1567.

  12. No.

The bible say's Satan is the God of this world.

Some believe Jesus is God or a God .

Even sports people & actors are like Gods to many people.

    There are many false Gods.

If you are saking if there is only one true god the answer is yes.

  13. Actually, you're off by one god.

  14. Like your name sake, who cares?

Nope, totally not. Countless gods and some god kings. The term angels and saints and holy ghost not apply here.

  15. There isn't even ONE.

  16. So close!  Your count is only off by one too many.

EDIT:  I hate not being able to type faster!

  17. Yes and no.

  18. Of course.  Otherwise they would have been competing with each other and waiting for other gods to take action. The universe would have been a disaster.

  19. Yes! One Creator, Jehovah God

  20. there is only one Goddess: Jessica Alba.

  21. There is....Only One True God.

And His name is YHWH aka Jehovah.

His Son, Jesus is called "a mighty god."

Even satan is called "the god of this system of things."

There is a myriad of false gods.

One of the 10 Commandments says:

"Thou shalt not put any other gods against my face."

And this was said by the God of Moses, to Moses.

this is a good read, very informative.

  22. Yes. See below. And that includes even the ancient Greek, Roman and Norse religions. Atheists? They got a great deal of their inspiration from God also. The noodley Pastafarians? I think there also. Just no Jesus or Buddha equivalent for them or the Atheists (capitalized out of my respect for them, and following the example set before me).

    ============

There can be no doubt whatever that the peoples of the world, of whatever race or religion, derive their inspiration from one heavenly Source, and are the subjects of one God. The difference between the ordinances under which they abide should be attributed to the varying requirements and exigencies of the age in which they were revealed. All of them, except a few which are the outcome of human perversity, were ordained of God, and are a reflection of His Will and Purpose. Arise and, armed with the power of faith, shatter to pieces the gods of your vain imaginings, the sowers of dissension amongst you. Cleave unto that which draweth you together and uniteth you.

    (Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 217)

The Jews await the Messiah, the Christians the return of Christ, the Moslems the Mahdi, the Buddhists the fifth Buddha, the Zoroastrians Shah Bahram, the Hindus the reincarnation of Krishna, and the Atheists - a better social organization! Baha'u'llah represents all these, and thus destroys the rivalries and the enmities of the different religions; reconciles them in their primitive purity, and frees them from the corruption of dogmas and rites.

    (Abdu'l-Baha, Tablets of Abdu'l-Baha v1, p. vii)

    -----------

To Israel He (Baha'u'llah) was neither more nor less than the incarnation of the "Everlasting Father", the "Lord of Hosts" come down "with ten thousands of saints"; to Christendom Christ returned "in the glory of the Father"; to Shí'ah Islam the return of the Imam Husayn; to Sunni Islam the descent of the "Spirit of God" (Jesus Christ); to the Zoroastrians the promised Shah-Bahram; to the Hindus the reincarnation of Krishna; to the Buddhists the fifth Buddha.

    (The Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 234)

    Living the Life

When asked on one occasion: "What is a Bahá'í?" 'Abdu'l-Bahá replied: "To be a Bahá'í simply means to love all the world; to love humanity and try to serve it; to work for universal peace and universal brotherhood." On another occasion He defined a Bahá'í as "one endowed with all the perfections of man in activity." In one of His London talks He said that a man may be a Bahá'í even if He has never heard the name of Bahá'u'lláh. He added:  --

The man who lives the life according to the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh is already a Bahá'í. On the other hand, a man may call himself a Bahá'í for fifty years, and if he does not live the life he is not a Bahá'í. An ugly man may call himself handsome, but he deceives no one, and a black man may call himself white, yet he deceives no one, not even himself.

One who does not know God's Messengers, however, is like a plant growing in the shade. Although it knows not the sun, it is, nevertheless, absolutely dependent on it. The great Prophets are spirits suns, and Bahá'u'lláh is the sun of this "day" in which we live. The suns of former days have warmed and vivified the world, and had those suns not shone, the earth would now be cold and dead, but it is the sunshine of today that alone can ripen the fruits which the suns of former days have kissed into life.

    Devotion to God

In order to attain to the Bahá'í life in all its fullness, conscious and direct relations with Bahá'u'lláh are as necessary as is sunshine for the unfolding of the lily or the rose. The Bahá'í worships not the human personality of Bahá'u'lláh, but the Glory of God manifest through that personality. He reverences Christ and Muhammad and all God's former Messengers to mankind, but he recognizes Bahá'u'lláh as the bearer of God's Message for the new age in which we live, as the Great World teacher Who has come to carry on and consummate the work of His predecessors.
