  1. Are you kidding me? Of course! We have viruses (which some don't consider to be living at all), bacteria, fungi, and protus too. You also forgot about insects, which together vastly outweigh all animals.

  2. Protist and Fungus, wikipedia it for more info

  3. Yes, for instance bacteria, cyanobacteria (blue green algae), fungi, archaebacteria, and slime moulds.

  4. There are the following kingdoms in the current classification scheme:

    Animals

    Plants

    Fungi

    Protists

    Eubacteria

    Archaea

  5. There are three domains of organisms recognized by most biologist:  Archaea, Eubacteria, and Eukarya.

Each domain has groups of organisms included:

Archaea:  Bacteria-like organisms often living in extreme habitats such as mud lacking oxygen, extreme temperature and pressures, in concentrated salts, etc.

Eubacteria:  All kinds of bacteria and cyanobacteria

Eukarya:  All organisms with true membrane-formed organelles including protistans, fungi, plants, animals.  Each of these groups of organisms have numerous species of organisms.

Viruses, viroids, and prions are infectious particles that are not true cells and lack many of the characteristics of a living organisms but can cause diseases of living organisms.

  6. Do you include those that exist on Mars and/or spiritual/Aliens,ESP types?  Not necessary when not discovered by scientific probing , it does not exist!  God's creation rather than human discovery!
