I have 2 sties, 1 on each eye, I've had them for over a month now and they're not even painful anymore... For some reason they don't want to go away... Is there any over-the-counter eye drops or ointment that I can buy??? If so what are the names... Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You...

  1. Try using a warm wash cloth to bring the sty to a head and it will go away.  Do this a couple times a day.  Keep it clean.  And be careful not to get the pus anywhere else.  It can spread.  That is how I always took care of mine and it worked.  Hope this helps.

  2. Yes, "Stye", its OTC. I've used it, it worked well.  Remember that sty's are very contagious ever time you touch your eyes you can expose the other eye.  Always wash your hands after touching an eye with a sty, best try not to touch it at all.

  3. 'Stye' is just a jelly that helps reduce the discomfort associated with the them- it does not actually help the healing process in any way.

You'll need to see a doctor, I'm afraid.

  4. i don't know the specific names but you can go to a local pharmacy and ask the pharmacist, they can recommend the best selling product or help you find something that's on special.  pharmacists should know about everything in that department from cold medicine to cold sores. so don't be afraid to ask!
