especially when they are low-average earning income couple who is already struggling to take care of themself.

they feel bad about the situation, then put the kids down, then the kids have a bad self fullfilling prophecy. they are economically from a low-average family and they feel bad about themself.

  1. It doesn't happen in EVERY family. Of course there will always be parents who take out their problems on their kids, it's their fault and it is wrong to do. What is the point to your question?

  2. Not all do. But the ones that do, is because they are frustrated and the kids are the only ones to take it out on that can't affectively defend theirselves and stand up to the parents and tell them that it's not their (the kids) fault.

  3. YES YES YES AND YES!!!!! I have seen it alot. and its so sad to see, but it does happen.

  4. Absolutely- the only surprise is that you asked: low income couples are disadvantaged thru lack of education or opportunity. Many got married in high school by necessity, and need follows need as they try to keep up; of course they feel short-changed and frustrated.

Kids catch it as the handiest scapegoat- all their troubles follow after.

Thankfully, this is not a universal rule: plenty of families cope with only the usual discipline required for a proper upbringing.
