Yes, some smoke the herb, but it doesn't really go with the military mindset. Previous posters are correct. It can get you into a world of trouble, just like excessive drinking can; it can cost you a security clearance; it can get you jail and extra duty, and it can bring into question your abilities as a soldier. While I have no problem with civilians using it, if you can't give up getting screwed up, don't join the military.

My friend used to smoke 2 ounces of weed a day. Heres how he got passed it. He kept a syringe with him where ever he went that was filled with a mixture of a little bleach, vinegar, and lemon juice. Whenever a random p**s test came back he would inject that magic mixture into his bladder and voila!
