  1. Pure salt contains only sodium and chlorine.

    Natural salts like sea salt and rock salt will contain a little potassium along with other elements.

    There is no sugar in any kind of salt.

    Edit:

    Ah, that makes more sense! No potassium in sugar either.


  2. I think charcinders MIGHT have misunderstood the second part. Yes, there might be potassium in the sugar you buy at the supermarket, but the chemical we call "sugar" in its pure form contains only carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.
