  1. Not just arrested, but roughed up, by police who look more like stormtroopers, armed to the teeth, their identities masked.

And i don't think it's an accident, just like embedded journalists are targeted in Iraq, the same policy is being adopted in the US.

Only those journalists that parrot what the government tells them, and stay within the narrow boundaries, both literal and figuratively, are permitted.

  2. ...more like freedom of the government to oppress.

  3. Were they demonstrating or protesting there's a difference. I gotta side with the police here they see a riot they can't be out there checking credentials. I didn't appreciate seeing conservatives at the DNC I thought it was classless and distasteful. So I would expect that the libs would take the high road and not do the same.

I lost my best friend and might not see my brother again cause of this war, but you don't see me out there acting like a lune. Lets keep it clean, stick to the issues talk about the candidates or you will end up on the sideline like Hillary and her negative campaign.

  4. There's a fine line now between "public interest press" and "special interest press"

That being said, I think any group - public or special interest - should have the right to peacefully assemble - as long as they go about it in the right way. I'd be suprised if the arrested people followed all the necessary rules.
