Like in the movie "The Darjeeling Limited", the train trip they take, is there a train (could be named something else) that goes through India? If so where does it go, cost or maybe some kind of website.

  1. There is a Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, nicknamed the "Toy Train", is a 2 ft gauge narrow-gauge railway from Siliguri to Darjeeling in West Bengal, run by the Indian Railways.

Now it is a part of the largest network of railways in the world ' Indian Railways'. It also has a website, www.dhr.in Check it out. that website has detailed information about The darjeelinf rail system. Hope this helps, However these trains don't go through whole of India as in the movie.

There is another luxurious train called "palace on Wheels" that takes you through some parts of India. However, as to my FYI, there is no such train that takes you through whole of India. It would be really an accomplishment to get a train to go to all parts of India because of its size and diversity in terrain.
