Is there really a difference between Tide and the off brand.?

I am trying out different Laundry detergents and wanted to know if there really is a difference between the "Great Brands" (tide) verse the off brand like Sun, and store brands.

The other brands do work.  But nothing compares to the clean fresh feeling of Tide.  Remember, you get what you pay for.  Tide also preserves the colors in your clothes, so it keeps them looking nice.

There is no real different other than the price

I have tried

Cheer - Mom always washies with this detergent

Purex

Foca - I use this for about 1 year

Gain - Lavander/Thoursand Island - I use this for about 1 year

Ariel - Blue bag /Blue with purple "I hated this smell

Fab - Ocean Breeze - This one seem to retain color.

Rinso - Liquid - Orange Bottle - 10 loads

SunBlast Vanilla/Lavander -   It cost 2.50 for 35 loads

I tried a bunch of different ones. And now I stick with Tide for sensitive skin. The other brands work just fine... but I find they irritate my kids' skin and don't quite smell as nice. But if you don't have picky people in your house they wash clothes just as well.

I have tried them both, and they are basically the same.  I went back to using Tide just because I like the way my clothes smell when they're washed with Tide.
