People tell me that Canadians are cleaner and they have better attitudes because of their "cleaner, peaceful thoughts". Is this really true?

  1. I live in the U.S. and  I have roots in Canada, P.E.I. and Montreal and we all love each other. I see no difference at all.

  2. As an American who has canadian friends, and who at one time had  Canadian neighbors, your question has no bases.  How can you judge the majority of the people by the actions of a minority?  My neighbor was not quiet.  He had huge loud parties with live bands, was very disrespectful towards women and smelled.  Now I have known Canadians before and they have been very pleasant.  But in saying this I have known many americans who are disgusting.

This is like asking are all the members of your family pious without faults.

I have since moved to another country, (England) and have been asked hundreds of times if I am from Canada.  I have a strong southern accent btw.

How a group or country of people can have 'cleaner peaceful thoughts;' (unless they are some kind of monk),is beyond me. You will always have bad apples.

Did Paul Berardo or  Russell Johnson or Karla Homolka have cleaner peaceful thoughts as Canadian Serial Killers?  Do you think the people of Regina, Saskatoon and Winnipeg think its cleaner more peaceful thoughts living in the most crime ridden areas of the country?

There are places in the states you can go that people would bend over backwards to help a stranger in need.

And you can go to just about any grocery store in the states and find a Canadian driving the wrong way on a way one lane who will flip you off while you wait patiently for them to finally move on.  (Been there done that more times then I wish to remember).

I find that it is the attitude of each individual...not the country as a whole.  I have been to places in Florida that scare the life out of me, yet other parts I would allow my 9 year old to walk around even at night with no fear.

In conclusion, it's an individual and their up-bringing, their character and their attitude that can be compared..not a country to another country.

(And I didn't put eh? at the end of every sentence!!)
