Here is a blog by a PhD statistician/mathematician on the subject:

  3. As the Lottery is a game of chance and luck, strategies available for this game will not offer you any type of advantage.

There are many strategies out there, but they are all used for fun, not to increase chances of winning. As the balldraw is randomly and balls do not have memory in order to say that you can play the most drown numbers...

    Getting numbers drawn like 1, 7, 23, 28, 36, 45 or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 has mathematically  the same chances.

So no, there is no strategy you can use in games like lottery or keno that would provide you with any advantage.

  4. Nope. It's just a guessing game. You can try whatever system you like however, the odds will remain the same for you as the next person.

  5. Yeah but you've got to work all the old numbers until you come up with the system of the odds.

  6. Yes it was once talked about and described in great detail in a book, the book also contained, a map to atlantis, a poloroid of god himself, The ancestal history of the lock ness monster,  a technique for finding pots of gold at the end of rainbows.   The book was buried under the paw of the sphynx centuries ago, later it was  found to be missing, As it turns out it was stolen by aliens who crash landed in roswell new mexico prior to excaping the planet.  Peices of its remains apear on ebay from time to time and fetch a hefty sum to the right collector.
