Why do others keep on saying things about the nadal's knee condition especially now on the hard court season? I dont see any problems with his knees. In fact he recently won the rogers cup. I think now he finally play smart and learns how to play on hard courts.

  1. Yeah they say he has problems with his knees because last year he got tendonitis in his left knee during the US Open and couldn't play properly. Thats now why he wears the bandages at all time around his knees, they serve as reinforcement, protection  and prevention of the problems stopping him playing.

The reason the question about his knees always comes up in the hard court seasons is because on both grass and clay, the surface can accomodate Rafa's movements cause it is a softer surface on impact, yet on hard courts it is concrete and a hard landing so it affects him more because of the way he  moves.

This year, apart from the blisters during the clay season, and that problem he had at wimbledon (which was nothing to do with tendonitis) he has not shown any signs of knee problems, so its not like he has been affected at all.

I think you are right in saying that he is now playing smart on hard courts and that will help him in the long run from acquiring more injuries.

I think its just some people wish that he did have knee problems so a certain someone could find a way to beat him easily.

  2. No... I don't think there's anything wrong with his knees.  I think at some point in the past he did have a problem but now he's totally fine.  If something else pops up with his knees I probably won't believe it this time.

  3. nice question.

and josh's answer is really good, especially the last line.

nadal did have some problems with his knee last year but as of now, i think he plays with his knees taped as more of a precaution.

  4. aye there actually is  problem on his knee, ats not stopping the best from winning low.

    get up there Nadal!

  5. No, no problem, and when they asked him about the tape around his knees, he said "for prevention"...
