The only tiger barbs I've seen have been albino, green and the regular tigers.

Yes, there are many types of tiger barbs.  Some are their natural color, but others are died or painted.

there is a cross breed but it is not a true species of a red barb, so if you are hoping for one, I will most likely be impossible to find.

Yes there are.  Generally, they are just albinos that don't exhibit the white striping (in place of black striping), but there are selectively bred strains being worked on.
