Some guys at work said it was an unmanned rocket-ship that can reach insane speeds. Does it exist or is this a rumour?

  1. I think they're referring to scram-jets.  Yes there is a prototype, yes it has attained 5.0Mach in testing.

    No it's not "Top Secret".

  2. This is unlikely. The only things that tend to be kept top-secret are military designs like the F-117 that employ totally new technology. Rockets and scramjets are nothing new and aren't typically classified, which is why they're so easy to find info on. Aside from that, most classified military projects are kept so secret that rumors don't happen. They also tend to have two word names for some reason. Galleta is a spanish word that translates to "grass". If this is real, then it's possibly a random selection, but still not likely. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Sounds like your standard crazy junk. The only thing it could be is some kind of cruise missile design, but even those aren't usually kept secret. There isn't much reason to.

  3. no it was swamp gas

  4. So how would they know if it's top secret ?
