I already have a 6th generation iPod but I was thinking about getting an iPhone. I like the features but one of the main points of having an iPhone is so you can listen to music, which I already do with my iPod, so is there any point in getting one? Will I probably stop using my ipod if I get an iphone?

  1. An iPhone is going to be more like an iPod touch with an integrated Phone than a 6th Gen iPod classic. You'll gain abilities like e-mail, web browsing, wifi iTunes store and the App store. The iPhone is like an iPod, PDA, Mobile Web Browser, and Phone all in one device. This means not having to cary around 2 devices, which is nice. You're right... with an iPhone there isn't much use for a separate iPod, thats what e-bay and craigslist is for.

  2. There really isn't a point. An iPhone is primarily used for people with really busy schedules and need something to keep track of it all. My music teacher uses it to keep track of lessons, concerts, and--of course--his music.

Yes, everyone likes the features on the iPhone, but since you already have an iPod, ask yourself this: couldn't you just keep your iPod and just get a palm piolet? (You could probably find a nice one for a decent price.)

So, no, don't get an iPhone if you don't REALLY need one. (Besides, I heard iPhones have strange glitches on them...but I wonder if they fixed those weird bugs?)

Hope this helps you make a decision. =]
