  1. omgsh,my dad just told me about that this morning! He

said that  gas prices were gonna go up to 4 to 5 bucks

and so truckers were gonna go on strike. Which may

lead to a depression cuz we get like everything from truckers

So start stockin up on food=(

    Always Be prepared

  2. i'm not sure, but I do know that it currently costs around 1000 dollars to gas up on of those babies for a day....

  3. it might, if there are oil truckers

  4. I really hope they do go on strike, i as a truckers wife; know alot about the industry, and for any price to drop fuel prices have to first!

  5. If the independent truckers go on strike, that will not be the cause of the rise in gasoline and diesel fuel prices.  Those prices are already being "staged" for the coming higher fuel prices this summer!

You have to understand, in this corporate-communist nation today, working people are being stripped of Democracy and a living wage by the conspiracy of employment practices being used today!  Independent contract drivers are being used to run established trucking companies out of business just the same way Yellow Cab was destroyed.  Seems good, to put so many smaller driver cabs to work as independent businesses, but that undercuts government funds for social security, well-fare, disability and retirement because they are no longer covered by government benefits!

Unions may be a commercial representation business, I agree with that, having been that I was once a union member  who was "railroaded" by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, including the few "real" unions that exist today and the small trucker trade groups for contract and independent truckers.  However, the union and the trade groups are the ONLY means for working people and for small businesses to have a self-defense means to prevent exploitation, abuse, and de-citizenship enslavement as economic prostitutes to the larger corporations who have DIRECT connection to legislators, governors and to the supreme courts at the state and federal level.  The public and small businesses do not have that political and legal access!

Our government will NOT represent the public's interests in any way.  The only way for workers to maintain a non-fascist working and business environment that RESPECTS workers and small business owners NOT as human resources and union-busting/competition-busting pawns, but as US CITIZENS and FAIR ENTERPRISE investors, is for there to be unions and small business trade groups who will stop the profit mechanisms of corporate communism and combat the rising global economy which is anti-world trade!

We must respect and sympathise for those who dare to go on strike, because it requires moral fortitude and emotional strength to conduct a non-violent strike in the face of the overwhelming wealth and political influence of the international/multinational corporate cartel employers/master contractors!

  6. Not union necessarily, rather many truckers are going broke with the high diesel prices and are wanting to send a strong message to the government by not working for one day on April 1st. This will not raise fuel prices but could lead to some shortages of basic items if most truckers participate. I think it is a good idea since it is the truckers who bring us most of our daily goods. We should support them in their efforts to lower diesel costs as it will ultimately benefit us all.

  7. My husband works for a very small trucking company. They have only a few trucks and plan to run this week. My husband is very nervous but if his boss says to go then he'll go.  I think he's afraid for his safety which has me terrified!!

  8. It's not just union drivers it's all of us.

And no, it shouldn't drive the gas prices higher. We are doing this in efforts to get the diesel prices down, which in return will lower gas prices, and lower the prices at the stores. My trucks will be on the front lines of the strike if happens to take place, what is working against us at this point is the strike is not totally organized. But if we ban together we will be able to accomplish something.

  9. you fell for the early april fools joke.
