Is there really gonna be an earthquick sometime soon in California?

i heard we're gonna have a big one soon, is that true??! i heard the weather is a big sign.

well if you haven't figured it out yet, earthquakes have absolutely nothing to do with the weather. so the weather we've been having here in socal does not make us prone to having an earthquake soon.... no more prone than we would be anyway.

whether it rained today or not, there could be an earthquake later tonight or there could not be one for 30 years. nobody knows. earthquakes are totally unpredictable. the weather shows no foresight into when they might occur.

its not even if someone 'thinks" there might be one. there might be, there might not be. its as simple as that.

Well i cant say we wont have a quake, but i can tell you that weather has nothing to do with it.  Earthquakes occur miles underground, where forces of weather have absolutely no affect.    Earthquakes can occur in all types of weather, in all climate zones, during all seasons of the year, and at any time of day.  However we haven't had a big quake for a while now, so that always increases the possibility.
