Yes there really is water on Mars. There is also water on other moons through out the solar system. Titan for example contains water. Also Mars contains many of the elements that earth does but they are scarce because of the small atmosphere. For example the ground contains Nitrogen which trees and plants need to grow.

No, although they used special affects on you-tube and that there is ice, there isn't water. The ice is really frozen CO2.
