  1. The stated law in Texas is that you must have at least two mirrors,  a side view and rear view,  or two sideview mirrors.    The law says nothing about hanging lanyards,  fuzzy dice,  or other junk hanging or obstructing view.    Remember that the hanging junk can swing back and forth to distract the driver,  and come loose in case of an accident.


  2. I don't understand your question but as for do you need a rearview mirror in the state of Texas, the answer is no you don't need one but you do need at least one side mirror.

  3. As long as you have adequate side-view mirrors, a rear-view mirror isn't essential. Many vehicles, such as trucks, buses, motor homes, vans, etc. have no direct rear view at all and they manage just fine.

    Driving with no mirrors at all is an accident waiting to happen, and you will (and deserve) to get stopped.
