Is there record of homosexuality amongst animals of the same species?

Most of the time, homosexual behavior is a display of dominance (cows, dogs, sliders). Other times, it results from confusion (box turtles). Rarely (bonabos), it may be true homosexuality.

No animal of the same s*x has actual s*x with another. A male dog may mount another male dog to show dominance but there is no sexual penetration involved.

I've even heard of female birds helping to raise their young but there is no s*x involved.

Homosexuality is strictly a human disease.

there's some well known research involving sheep, which found some male sheep prefer to get it on with other males, and examination of thier brains showed female characteristics. The study also found that actual penetration did occur although it is not clear if the rams being penetrated enjoyed this.

Scientist restrained rams and ewes (they used neck bars) and then released other rams behind them. The rams had a choice to mount either a ewe or a ram. While most rams jumped on ewes, some mounted other rams. Necropsy on the different sheep revealed a difference between the g*y sheep and the heterosexual sheep. Hypothalamus in a g*y sheep was different.

yes it has been observed in 120 species until now and also recorded .is not always linked to dominanche since the roles are usually revershed. i would ques it is a normal situation in all living things altough its evolutionary significance has not been explained yet. people that say it does not hapen just try to hide under a false moral that has absolutely nothing to do with the truth it has more to do with their own phycological problems
