  1. You've come to the right place.

  2. I don't think sexism is funny...neither racist jokes, or other form of degrading people.

  3. Of course there is.  I laugh at sexist jokes, racist jokes, all kinds of jokes.  Sometimes, you have to find humor in things.  We can't go around getting offended over everything.

    EDIT: Imposter H

What IS it with dead baby jokes?  Racial, sexist, and political jokes, I get, but who decided, "Hey, we need a new demographic, let's go for the unborn"?  Weird!

  4. I like em...as long as they are told in good humor not in hate or ignorance.

  5. Yes. People need to stop being so sensitive. I've had to listen to blonde jokes my whole life. I send Actuary jokes to my boyfriend all the time that basically the punch line is always that actuaries are boring people with no personality (which isn't him at all). Guys make blonde/girl jokes to me, you just have to laugh it off!!!

  6. I don't mind sexist jokes that are funny, but a lot of them just aren't (both directed at men and women). And obviously when told by an actual sexist/bigot this kind of renders the joke not funny.

  7. I wish, but in a lawsuit crazy society even the jokes that aren't degrading can still offend some hypersensitive woo-woo or someone who is just looking for something to be offended by so they can complain or sue about it.

I have been able to tell jokes that make men look like idiots to women and ones that make women look like idiots to men without offending anyone. Go figure...

  8. People will always tell sexist jokes whether there's room for them or not, and others will always laugh.

Personally I don't tell sexist or ethnic jokes, which are very narrow in their scope.  I do find it easy to make fun of the things we all have in common, a much broader view that offers more opportunities for real humor.

ETA:  Warning to Mr. Johno:  don't make me laugh again, buster, or no sandwich for you.

ETA#2 to Idyot Jym:  heard it already.

  9. Yes, humor transcends. The minute you lose your sense of humor, you might as well give up.

  10. How about my favorite feminist joke.

    Q) How many feminist does it take to change a lightbulb?

    A) That's not funny.

  11. Oh yeah.  My group of friends and I (especially the ones I've known for 10 years plus) tell horribly inappropriate jokes all the time.  We tell sexist jokes, racist jokes, dead baby jokes, your momma jokes (especially inappropriate considering that most of our mothers are dead).  I even laughed at a holocaust joke the other day, though I admit I felt a little weird about that one after.  We have to tone it down about forty notches when outsiders are in our group, but when it's just us the more inappropriate, the better.  We are all pretty liberal people, we just enjoy the shock value of a really offensive joke.  Isn't that the point anyway?  To enjoy your life.  Jokes don't kill people, life without a sense of humor kills people long before they are dead.

  12. There is no such thing as a racist or sexist joke. A joke is a joke. If you make a joke about a black person or an irish person etc and it's funny what is wrong with that? If it's out of pure hatred then it isn't funny and it isn't a joke.

  13. No, this is not the right forum for sexist jokes.  It's a forum under the heading of a "social science" which merely exists for the pleasure of Feminists to support each other in their hatred of men whilst pretending (or behaving in denial) that they really don't hate men.

    Feminism is hatred of men.

Men come here to describe why hatred of men is an inappropriate philosophy to have a venue on a Yahoo!, Inc. proprietary site.
