Is there some way for me to be able to drive something on a road when im under 16?

OK so as the new school year approaches i need a new way to get to school simply because my old method of getting to school is no longer available. I am looking at every thing from scooters to ATVs to dirt bikes, i just don't know what is street legal for me. And i would like to to a motorcycle license when i finally am 16 but i have no idea how that works. Background: I am 15 ill be 16 in December, i live about 5 miles from my school, 8 if i take the long way around (to avoid driving on a highway/route)

I'm not sure about other states but, in California you can get a "learners permit" for a motorcycle at 15-1/2. This will allow you to ride during the daylight hours only, and you cannot have any passengers. The second thing is having a bike that is street legal, most dirt bikes are not. Look at an enduro type bike that can do both street and dirt. Be safe and have fun!

Most states will let you get a scooter lic. before you turn 16. call your local DMV. Good Luck!!!

not sure if that is a safe or

even good/legal idea..

electric golf carts are fun,

but might not be street legal

(depending on where you live)

Your state might at 15 and it is only five miles  you can walk also.+
