Is there something I can do to make myself have more dreams?

Is there some sort of thing a person can do to make sure they have a dream?

I love dreaming because it's always really interesting, but I rarely do. If I do, I rarely remember.

  1. I learned in a psychology class that if you remember your dreams, you aren't sleeping well enough. It's when you don't remember your dreams (because we always dream whether we remember them or not)... So...all I can advise you is not to sleep enough when you're tired. Sounds silly, huh?

    p.s. we also learned that sleeping pills and cold medicines don't give you a good/profound sleep at night.


  2. Everyone dreams, it's just a matter or whether or not you remember your dream when you wake up. The most helpful thing you can do to remember your dream is to remember to remember it - this sounds silly (and repetitive) but it really does work. Put a note next to your bed that reminds you to think of what you were dreaming about. The best way to remember your dreams is to think about them immediately after waking up. Also, dreams that are uninteresting seem to be difficult for most people to remember. Supposedly, eating before going to bed makes you have weird dreams so that might help too. Just try to remember your dreams first thing in the morning and you should be able to...

  4. I notice I have more dreams when I take a sleeping pill.  If you don't want to take anything like that there is a natural vitamin that helps you sleep called melatonin I believe.
