  1. I feel your pain, because if you search under 'italian fest,' you will get nothing!  You're thinking of 'Festa Pasta Vino', or commonly known as Taste of Oakley on Oakley near Little Village (it's this stretch of Italian neighborhood smack dab in the middle of a Mexican ward!).  Your best bet is to search in google for 'onesti entertainment' and then go to that website (it's the company that manages the festival) and click on festivals and fairs, and there will be a section with the lineups and stuff like that.  We go every year and I have a few helpful hints--take public transport if you can, and if you can't, carpool because parking is a huge pain because the area is mostly street or zone parking.  There are like two lots, but if you park in the grassy one, just make sure to drive slow because last year there were tons of potholes in the ground that you can't see because the grass is overgrown.

Scary parking aside, the food, music, and fun at this festival can't be beat.  Our personal favorite is Gigolo Johnny who's on Friday at 6, but he isn't really family friendly (lots of Joe Pesci imitations)!  The Chicago Rat Pack impersonators are also totally awesome.  Enjoy and bring lots of your friends :)
