My friend lives in the US and I haven't seen him for years. I live in the UK and I know that people can come here with a name, go to the bank of scotland in London and find out their address. I really would like to locate my friend in America and was wondering whether there was something like the bank of scotland over there so that I can find his address? If anyone knows something like this, please let me know.

Thanks a lot!

  1. IF I was a Bank of Scotland customer and found out that they handed out my address to anyone who walked in to one of their branches with my name I would not only very quickly change my bank but I would be reporting BoS under the Data Protection Act.

I think you have misunderstood something - banks cannot hand out customers adresses at will - nobody in the UK can.

  2. The only thing I can think of is if you at least knew what state he lived in you can check whitepages.com Otherwise try going to google.com and see if anything comes up for him. If he has a common name it will be a lot more challenging.
